    Heroin in NEPA
    Threatens Our Children

In 2006, 37 heroin-related deaths were reported in Lackawanna County, and that number continues to grow. These statistics have prompted a public service campaign led by State Senator Robert Mellow and Lackawanna County District Attorney Andy Jarbola. There message is simple. They want parents to talk to their kids and set them straight. Tonight, Senator Mellow and District Attorney Jarbola will be on the show. We'll discuss the staggering heroin statistics in our area, and what's being done to curb the problem.

    Apologizing for Slavery

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution apologizing to African Americans for slavery and the era of Jim Crow.
The non-binding resolution was introduced by Rep. Steve Cohen, a white lawmaker who represents a majority black district in Memphis, Tennessee.
While many states have apologized for slavery, it's the first time the federal government has done so. Also the resolution doesn't address the issue of reparations.
But should it? We'll talk about it tonight at 11.
